Location: Predominantly based at one of the three CAFRE campuses and DAERA locations across Northern Ireland.
The primary role of the Graduate Specialist (Grade III) is to interpret, analyse and present technical information to students, farmers and growers and industry personnel in a form that meets their needs.
The main duties and responsibilities of the post holders include:
- The development and delivery of education programmes provided by the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE).
- The development and delivery of industry training programmes to ensure the sustainability of the agri-food industry through the implementation of DAERA policy
- The development and delivery of Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) programmes linked to research findings, to ensure the competitiveness of the agri-food industry through the
- adoption of technology/systems and best practice methods of sustainable production and business management
- The development and delivery of Business Development and Benchmarking programmes to encourage participants to gain knowledge through interactive processes and make their own decisions
- The provision of technical support to DAERA, other Government departments and non-Government organisations on a range of agri-food issues
