Waterfall Salad and Vegetable Farms are Recruiting an Assistant Farm Manager in Cork
Waterfall Farms are a family run business specialising in the growing, harvesting and preparation of vegetables for the catering trade.
Quality and service are the paramount features which the business is based on. A wide range of root vegetables, herbs and salads are grown and prepared to supply a fresh, unique and local range of products to the catering trade.
Required:
- The candidate must have a passion for working with a wide range of Salads – Baby-Leaf Salads, Herbs, Continental Lettuces.
- The candidate will be working through the whole process of growing Salads from Seed to Product: Sowing seed, Planting, Husbandry, to Finished Product.
- The candidate must have an understanding of working outdoors with Root Vegetables – Carrots, Parsnips, Swede, Beetroot.
Essential:
- Must have good communication skills
- Good understanding of English
- Own Transport
- Flexibility working hours during busy season
- Must have a good interest in Commercial Horticulture
- Must have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Must have experience with driving a Tractor
- Must have experience with operating Machinery
- Must have the ability to drive PTO-Driven Machinery – Rotavator, Harrow
Working Hours:
- Full-Time Position
- 5 Days a week from 8.30 – 5.30
