How to Develop A New Food Product

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) would like to present ‘Breakfast Bites’, a series of free, informal breakfast meetings for food businesses. Here, we provide useful information on the topics you want to know more about. These events are very helpful if you own or work in a small food business and also for those of you who want to get your new food business off the ground.

Ciara McDonagh of Teagasc’s Food Industry Development Department, works with small food businesses and startups, providing advice on how they can turn their ideas into real food products. She will give an overview of the main stages involved in developing a new product, focusing on the technical requirements and important scale-up factors. There will be an opportunity to ask Ciara questions at the end of her presentation.
