Fane Valley Supports Loughry Student

Loughry student Julie Frazer who hails from Omagh has been awarded a generous bursary from leading food company Fane Valley. The Fane Valley-Linden Foods bursary aims to support a Loughry student during their studies and provide an opportunity for valuable work experience with the company.

Julie is a first year student on the Food Technology honours degree programme at CAFRE’s Loughry Campus, Cookstown. She is delighted to be the fortunate recipient of the award and is looking forward to developing her skills and experience on placement with the company. “I am from a farming background and have always had a strong interest in food therefore I am so pleased to have won this bursary which includes a great opportunity for placement work with the Fane Valley organisation.”

Julie received her award from Trevor Lockhart, Chief Executive of Fane Valley. Mr Lockhart commented that Fane Valley continue to have strong links with CAFRE and are “glad to assist in developing young people who are committed to work in the ever-changing agri-food industry.” Julie is pictured receiving her award from Trevor Lockhart with College Director John Fay.
