In the factory are various production lines. On four of these Green Power ballasts can be produced. This production process runs 24 hours per day and is automated as far as possible. The process starts at a unique barcode, which is plotted on every print, so that of every ballast it is known, when it was produced and which components (from which parcel, from which supplier) had been used. The factory is eco-friendly, which means, that there is a maximum saving of energy during the production process and that a minimum of 90% of the waste, which is produced during production, is re-used.

Hortilux Schréder uses the ballasts together with lamps in their specially developed fittings. These fittings are used in hothouses with different cultivations. Philips will continue investing in order to optimize the production process and the various components further. Also together the producers of the fittings amongst others.

Hortilux investigated in what way both parts can be adjusted to each other even better, so that together we can anticipate the circumstances of uses in the hothouse still better.
