SAP Nurseries Require a Senior Sales and Business Development Executive in Tipperary

Based in Cahir Co Tipperary, SAP Nurseries is one of the leading nurseries in Ireland. We supply a wide range of stock to landscape contractors, local authorities & retail outlets.  We are currently seeking a Senior Sales professional with superb plant knowledge and experience within the amenity or landscape markets to join our team. The candidate will be based out of our Head Office in Cahir, Tipperary however nationwide travel will be involved to meet new & existing clients.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Nursery Managing Director, the role is to sell hardy plants to existing and new customers in the landscaping and local authority markets throughout Ireland. Responsibilities include:

• Identify and capture new opportunities in the market for sales of all types of hardy plants.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to Landscape contractors on a daily basis.
• Build up long-term relationships with medium and large landscape businesses in Ireland and Northern Ireland providing plant material on a weekly basis.
• Target Local Authority customers by providing product and price information as required.
• Play a key role in conjunction with the production manager, in choosing the correct range of plants to be grown in the nursery for the future as well as the pricing and selling of these plants.

The Candidate:

• Have a recognised horticultural qualification
• Have experience in the landscape/nursery industry in Ireland in a similar sales role
• Have excellent plant knowledge
• Have a proven track record in achieving sales
• Must be well organised, have excellent communication skills
• Have good IT skills

Skills required of the Candidate:

• Excellent planning & time management skills in order to structure each day to work to maximum ability.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills in order to build up strong relationships with existing clients & new potential customers.
