UK Mail Order Seed Company Delivers First Irish Website

Leading gardening mail order company Marshalls are launching their first dedicated website in Ireland this month. The new website will be the first site by a UK seed house specifically for the Irish amateur garden market.

There will be a large variety of products available online, including vegetables and flower seeds, seed potatoes, onions, shallots and garlic. All the varieties are available on the Marshalls UK website, with the only exception being that no vegetable or ornamental plants will be available initially.

The payment system for the site automatically accepts Euro’s for Irish customers. Both websites will be linked so that Irish customers can transfer their online basket to the Irish site should they reach the checkout on the UK site.

Martin Harvey, MD at Marshalls said, “We are delighted that we have a bespoke website for our Irish customers. No other UK seed company has done this so far and we feel that it is long overdue. Gardening is such a growing industry and we need to encourage more people to grow their own vegetables and fruit.”

Marshalls has been established for over 60 years and is one of the most successful mail order companies in the UK, with recent awards from Gardening Which Magazine and Gold Medals from the Royal Horticultural Society. By constantly delivering high quality products, customers continually come back to buy their vegetable seeds and other kitchen garden requirements.

Orders can only be accepted by credit or debit cards which are then processed through the website in exactly the same way as in the UK. The new Marshalls site can be found at www.marshalls-seeds.ie. Orders may also be placed by phone on 0818 220 187.
