For security reasons, some fertilisers are subject to specific controls in Ireland. The Department of Justice and Equality are responsible for these controls.
Colm Farrell in the Department can advise on the appropriate licence that you require if you import, supply or use any fertilisers with the following constituents:
> 79% ammonium nitrate or
> 5% potassium nitrate
