The 27th edition of trade fair GrootGroenPlus took place just a few months ago, and now the registrations for the 28th editions are pouring in. With over 150 confirmations, more than half of the trade fair surface, that will be used from 3 – 5 October, is already filled up. Of course, GrootGroenPlus is already working on new plans and the preparations for the spring fair, which will take place on 17 and 18 January for the first time.
Spring Fair as perfect time to purchase
The Spring Fair will be hosted at approximately the same time as three other purchase trade fairs in the south of the Netherlands. These are the Groenbeurs Haaren, Groenbeurs Brabant, and TreeVention. This means that purchasers can get all their purchasing done in just five days. It will give exhibitors the advantage of a large reach at low costs, while purchasers can work more effectively. They only have to travel to region once and get all their purchasing done in one go. The Spring Fair will be hosted in the shed at the CLTV terrain in Zundert (where the trade fair is usually held) and uses the networks of the autumn fair. The trade fair offers both participants and visitors the perfect chance to do some smart purchasing and selling.
Theme
Last two years, the theme of the trade fair was ‘My Favourite Plant!’. This will be turned into a fixed part of the trade fair. As a result, it is still possible to fill in and check the favourites of the participants. This can be done both in the app and on the website. Thanks to the VARB connection, the stock of the participants is also visible. And the good news: this free plus will also be provided in 2018.
More international visitors
For the third time in a row, the main goal for 2018 is attracting more visitors. Other goals are related to focusing on participants, sharing knowledge, and maintaining the pleasant atmosphere that GrootGroenPlus is known for. In response to the feedback we received from participants, the opening hours at the first day have been slightly changed. The trade fair will open an hour earlier, and close a bit sooner. The duration of the formal opening (speeches) will be shortened. Of course, the award ceremonies will still take place on Wednesday mornings, during a nice breakfast.
In the following year, more emphasis will be placed on facilitating contact between participants and press. The PR team, which consists of 15 people/suppliers, will also play an important part in this. The first meeting of this team took place recently.
Classics
Like previous years, it will be possible to book arrangements for groups, there will be another internal and external press tour with at least 30 foreign journalists, and there will be numerous offline and online media outings, stand inspections, novelty inspections in cooperation with the KVBC, and attention for plants in general. We’ll also revisit the book stand, film studio, hairdresser, and brocante shop in the decor. Everything will be decorated with green products.
Registration
It makes sense to register as soon as possible for trade fair GrootGroenPlus, since requests are processed in the order they were received. As an added bonus, all participants will get the opportunity to participate in the Spring trade fair, which will take place on 17 and 18 January.
