NI Minister Meets Horticulture Forum Representatives

The delegation, led by Horticulture Forum chairman Robin McKee, presented the Minister with a copy of the Forum’s ‘Review and Strategic Priorities for the Development of the Horticulture Industry’. Forum members also highlighted the importance of the industry to the local economy and its potential for future growth. Receiving the report, the Minister said: “The Horticulture Forum’s report identifies key issues and priorities for the sub-sector and I had a useful discussion with the Forum members on these issues.

“Forum members have been actively involved in the arable, crop, fruit and vegetables sectoral sub-group of the Agri-Food Strategy Board and the issues they have raised today will no doubt feed into the Board’s deliberations on development of its longer term strategic action plan for the entire agri-food sector. I look forward to receiving that plan in the New Year.”
