Garden enthusiasts and plant lovers are gearing up for an exciting event as the Irish
Specialist Nursery Association (ISNA) announces a plant fair at Teagasc Kildalton College,
Piltown, County Kilkenny, on Sunday, 19th May from 11am to 4pm. Hosted among the lush
green setting of Kildalton Agriculture and Horticulture College, this event promises to be a
haven for anyone looking for unusual and interesting plants to add to their own garden.
Irish Specialist Nursery Association plant fairs are widely known for their array of specialty
plants, unusual botanical gems, and expert advice from leading horticulturists and nursery
owners. From exotic blooms to indigenous species, the fair will showcase an impressive
selection to cater to every gardening palette.

“The ISNA Plant Fair at Kildalton College is a celebration of Ireland’s rich horticultural
heritage and the passion of our dedicated nursery professionals” remarked Tim Ashmore,
Principal, Kildalton College. “We are thrilled to host this event and invite plant enthusiasts
from far and wide to immerse themselves in the beauty of the extensive grounds at Kildalton College.”

In addition to the vast variety of plants on display for sale, the fair will feature tours of the horticultural unit and facilities on site for training horticulturalists. There will also be history talks and tours of Kildalton House for history enthusiasts. This event will mark the launch of this summer’s Kildalton College Taster Days’, which offer people the opportunity to experience being a horticulture student at Kildalton for the day. These events will take place on Wednesday 26th June and Friday 5th July.

Grainne McMahon, Assistant Principal, Teagasc Kildalton College, said; “Whether you’re a
seasoned gardener or just beginning your green journey, there’s something for everyone to
discover and enjoy.”
