It’s getting close to Bloom 2012 and with this in mind we asked Gary Graham to give us an update on the progress with designers and sponsors. Gary also outlines some new initiatives for the coming year. Staying with Bloom, it’s never to early to start your Chelsea Gold medal practise run and 10 year old Miah Ní Nualláin will be doing so at Bloom this year. She is the daughter of well known designer Fiann Ní Nualláin. Miah with the careful guidance of her mother/talent manager Melissa is also in search of a sponsor. With the fact that she is going to be the youngest ever accepted entrant the sponsor’s should be fighting over her, as this story will gain some major news space across the media spectrum.

John Lord in an opinion piece is speaking out against the anti-peat brigade. It’s a touchy subject for many and if you want to get in on the debate you can add a comment to any news article including this editorial to say its good, bad or just plain ugly. He should find plenty of supporters at the IHNSA Trolley Fair next week. They will also be talking about Teagasc to Sub-Contract REPS Support Work. It may or may not be a cause of concern for users of the service depending on what they think of the existing service in the first place. Privatisation can be a good thing if it is delivered well and is not over complicated by even more form filling. It will be important that the wealth of existing knowledge with in the body is still accessible to all.

There must be something in the water up there in Northern Ireland as with 3 Newtownards Nurseries/Garden Centres in UK Top 50 it may just be worth a trip to see what are they doing, that is so successful.

The Wilco Canada Jobs Campaign deadline is the 26th March so get your application in fast as there are still a small number of positions to be filled.
