When we went about setting up this News, Jobs, Tenders and Events website we were advised by more than one person that there was not enough going on in the Irish market to justify a daily or even weekly news output. Our problem has been the opposite and that there is just too much going on to keep up with. If we are finding it hard then you will be finding it impossible so as always if you do not have the time you can click through to your relevant news sector in the links below. You may see news that you consider not so relevant. We work from the starting point that all horticulture sectors are connected in some kind of way. If it’s in your sector you can be sure that is has some business, technical or educational benefit or link for your chosen horticulture sector.
We are delighted to welcome new advertisers to the website such as NAD who have traditionally been print only but for Liam at www.NAD.ie it is always a numbers game and having seen ours we would like to welcome them on board and thank them for supporting this ‘Free to Access’ site. It is our advertisers who are making it possible to bring you the news that helps ‘Your Business Grow’. Please support our advertisers and let them know that you are seeing and reading about them on HortiTrends. We need them and they need you!
In the news this week you will find that Yellowfurze Nurseries has reached the sprightly young age of 10 this year and are celebrating with a bit of a do and a Trolley Fair. Congratulation to Jody and all the team and for the next 10 years, the only way is up! Slugs and Snails by Rónán Ó Snodaigh is a nice reminder of that it’s not all about hard work and Ronan has his own unique take that is a pleasure to publish and to read. In New Outdoor Division for Nilfisk this well know domestic brand has taken another major step in setting itself on a path to be a one stop shop supplying outdoor http://hortitrends.com/machinery and related products to the commercial horticulture sector. Connacht Gold Westport Store Opens its Doors Following €2.5m Investment which unfortunately we could not make but the word on the street is that it is an impressive centre. Looking at the demographics of that area some question can it or will it support two major lifestyle centres but Horkan’s too are becoming an evermore established brand and will not be giving away market share easily any time soon.
