The simultaneously held Plantarium | GROEN-Direkt fair will make this a complete event for garden plant retailers from within and outside the Netherlands
GROEN-Direkt’s annual Autumn Fair will take place on 24 and 25 August: the number-one trade fair of the year where garden centre representatives and garden plant exporters and wholesalers from within and outside the Netherlands always enjoy to meet one another. Besides marking the start of the exclusive presale of Christmas trees, the Autumn Fair will present a huge range comprising at least 5,000 unique sample batches. New at this edition will be the ‘Plantarium | GROEN-Direkt fair’ – an event resulting from the merger of GROEN-Direkt’s former Product Promotion Plaza and the Plantarium fair, which will coincide with the Autumn Fair. The more than two hundred stand holders will mean that the Plantarium | GROEN-Direkt fair will be offering visitors a complete range, lots of novelties and plenty of inspiration for the European garden plant retail business.
The 2022 Autumn Fair
At GROEN-Direkt’s Autumn Fair the more than 5,000 unique sample batches of garden plants can be directly ordered via the usual layer system. So can the concepts displayed on attractive presentation benches. In honour of its 25th anniversary, GROEN-Direkt will again present a special ‘GREEN Education Fund’ trolley at this fair. The company will invest the proceeds of this trolley in education and know-how in the nursery sector in the context of its GREEN Education Fund.
The Autumn Fair will also traditionally mark the start of the exclusive presale of Christmas trees. In addition to a wide range of the most popular Christmas tree species, GROEN-Direkt will also be presenting everything needed for the trees’ sale – from tree-packing machines and nets to Christmas tree stands. So the Autumn Fair will offer visitors trees and tools all under the same roof.

Earlier this year, the owners of the Plantarium and GROEN-Direkt fairs established a new organisation for the purpose of creating a single, complete event for the European garden plant retail sector: the Plantarium | GROEN-Direkt fair. The first edition of this new event will take place at the International Trade Centre in Hazerswoude/Boskoop (the Netherlands) on 24 and 25 August. Besides introducing more than a hundred novelties, Plantarium | GROEN-Direkt will boast at least two hundred stand holders – growers, but also their suppliers of starting material and gardening hardware, who will together turn the fair into the most comprehensive and attractive possible exhibition.
