Dundalk FC have unveiled Fyffes as the club’s main sponsor for 2012. Following the announcement, Dundalk FC General Manager Paul Johnston spoke of his delight at securing the sponsorship deal with “an internationally-recognised brand and business”.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with a company of the stature of Fyffes,” Johnston said.
“Fyffes are a local company that have grown to be an internationally-recognised brand and business.
“We feel that Fyffes’ commitment to this partnership is a strong endorsement of Dundalk FC and our plans to compete in the Airtricity League, and develop new up-and-coming talent that can develop at our club and become top-quality players in the years ahead.
“We also look forward to partnering with Fyffes at this very exciting time for the club as we open our new Oriel Active centre on the campus of Oriel Park.
“Fyffes are a market leader in their field and are very active in the area of healthy food.
“By linking this with our football coaching and community activities we feel there is a natural fit to deliver effective schools, clubs and community programmes that are fun and portray a healthy lifestyle, all at our new modern multi-purpose Oriel Active facility.
“We look forward to the year ahead and achieving success in these areas.”
Emma Crewe, Marketing Manager at Fyffes, said: “Fyffes is delighted to be working in partnership with Dundalk FC for the 2012 season.
“Despite our global reach we are committed to providing support at a local level where there is a clear link back to a healthy eating and lifestyle message.
“This partnership directly supports Fyffes’ aim to promote healthy eating across all age groups. Dundalk FC is focused on developing football and community links at every age level and across all backgrounds.
“We look forward to working with Dundalk FC to achieve these aims.”
