In collaboration with industry, the DCU Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship has developed a programme focusing on key areas to help drive sustained growth in the agri-food sector. Participants who successful complete the programme and assessment will be awarded a FETAC Level 6 minor award in Corporate Governance.

Audience
This programme is tailored for entrepreneurial farmers and those who aspire to be leaders within the Irish agri-food sector.

Content

The programme will consist of the following workshops:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Leadership and Communication
  • Financial Management
  • Opportunity Recognition and Assessment
  • Legal Issues in Running a Business
  • Understanding your Business Environment
  • Risk Management
  • Ethics and Self Governance
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation for a Sustainable Business

Methodology

This 5 day programme includes 9 workshops and a field trip, leading to a Ryan Academy Certificate and a national FETAC Certificate award of
Corporate Governance upon the successful completion of a group project, an assignment and a short ‘open-book’ assessment.
