Now that we have declared a climate and biodiversity emergency, what are we going to do about it? Reimagine how we transition to a low carbon, biodiverse and just society.
Davie Philip, Mel White and Ollie Moore host this solar powered heady brew of poetry, music and compelling conversation with Lorna Gold and Rob Hopkins on the spectacular Community Amphitheatre. This event will be part of Elements of Change festival programme. Full festival details can be found here.
When: 13.45 – 15.15, June 29th
Where: Community Amphitheatre, Cloughjordan Ecovillage
In his forthcoming book From What Is To What If, Rob Hopkins argues that we do have the capability to effect dramatic change, but we’re failing because we’ve largely allowed our most critical tool to languish: human imagination. Rob asks, ‘what if we could find a way to be bold, brilliant and decisive, to act in proportion to the challenges we are facing, to aim for a future we are excited about?’
Lorna Gold is the author of ‘Climate Generation: Awakening to Our Children’s Future’, in which she shares her personal journey in coming to understand what climate change means to her as a mother. We’re seeing such a call for change from all generations – from School Strikes 4 Climate to Extinction Rebellion, all generations can affect change and will be affected – we’re all in this together.
Rob and Lorna will be joined by other speakers and musicians on the Community Amphitheatre to identify and celebrate the elements of a sustainable future.
