BeGreen Workshop at Sustainable Processing Ireland

The EPA’s BeGreen Programme in conjunction with Green Business is hosting a workshop to inform Irish Business on a number of programmes funded by the National Waste Prevention Programme, which are available to assist business in becoming more resource efficient.

This workshop is part of the Sustainable Processing Ireland Event being held on the 9th & 10th of September 2015 in the RDS, Dublin.

Speakers from EPA BeGreen, Green Business, SMILE Resource Exchange and BIM’s Green Seafood Programme will outline how Irish business have greatly benefited from investing in resource efficiency.

The Green Business Programme showcase how on average Irish companies can save €35,000 per annum through better management of waste, water and energy.

SMILE Resource Exchange provides a FREE service for businesses to engage with one another and and to identify mutually beneficial relationships. Potential synergies are identified through an online exchange platform and through facilitated technical assistance. Businesses can request or offer reusable materials, by-products, or surplus stock that could potentially be a raw material in another business.

The BIM Green Seafood Programme helps Irish seafood processors save money and reduce their impact on their environment, helping make seafood production even greener.
