GLAS – Ireland’s number one amenity horticulture and sportsturf trade show is back in town boasting a new-look layout with over 130 exhibitors taking part in the one-day event
GLAS, the annual one-day event on July 20th, is Ireland’s ‘main event’ in the trade calendar. With the full support of Bord Bia, GLAS 2017 offers a unique opportunity for professionals in Ireland’s horticulture, sportsturf and related industries.
Featuring over 130 exhibits from some of the most important suppliers in the sector – showcasing the latest products and services on the market right now. As well as a new-look layout, key features at this year’s event include a newly-designed New Product New Plant Awards Showcase. As visitors arrive they will walk through the showcase area where the judges will have awarded the winners in each.
The newly-expanded Learning Theatre at GLAS 2017 is proudly supported by Bord Bia this year. The Learning Theatre will provide informative talks from the industry’s leading professionals. This year’s speakers will host talks on safe, smart and sustainable pest control, 7 ways to get more customers from the internet and 21st-century non-intrusive drainage solutions, as well as the results of Bord Bia’s very latest Behaviour and Attitudes research from their extensive, national consumer gardening study. The Retail Merchandising Showcase will promote displays and promotional materials that will enhance any horticulture retail location. The Irish Institute of Sports Surfaces Sportsturf Village and Machinery Park features over 30 exhibitors specialising in this sector.
For 2017, along with its core focus on amenity horticulture for the retail and landscaping sectors, GLAS continues its expansion into forestry, greenkeeping, sportsturf and retail. With the active support of Bord Bia, a visit to GLAS offers you and your business a real return on your time. This is our industry’s annual event, all under one roof, on one day. The venue, a purpose-built exhibition centre adjoining Dublin’s Citywest Hotel, is easily accessible from all major routes into Dublin and via the M50. Facilities at Citywest include free parking and plentiful hotel accommodation.
