Award Winners
A key highlight at the event since its establishment is the Best in Show Awards. This year’s awards had record advance registrations from first-time entrants with plants and products and highlighted excellence in four categories: Best New Plant, Best New Product, Best Plant Stand and Best Product Stand.
Best New Plant
Kelly’s Nursery based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath were awarded ‘Best New Plant’ for their Escallonia Laevis: ‘Pink Elle’.
Best New Product
Hygeia from Oranmore, Co. Galway received ‘Best New Product’ at GLAS for their Green Force: Lawn Gold product.
Best Plant Stand
O’ Connor Nurseries from Gorey, Co. Wexford were chosen by the judges as the ‘Best Plant Stand’ for their floral display.
Best Product Stand
Sanctuary Synthetics from Naas, Co. Kildare were awarded ‘Best Product Stand’ at the GLAS.
