The Minister welcomed Teresa’s appointment and said she looked forward to building upon the strong relationship that exists between the RDC and the Department in delivering the shared goal of developing and sustaining rural communities.
She said: “I congratulate Teresa on her appointment as Chief Executive of the Rural Development Council (RDC). Her energy and dedication to the rural sector is well known, and I am sure she will draw upon those particular qualities in her new role.
“The RDC and my Department have a strong positive relationship and work together to deliver the same goal, the development and sustainability of our rural communities.
“I look forward to working closely with Teresa in her role as CEO and building upon that existing positive relationship to deliver our goals for rural development.”
