On this one-day course, held in Cork, you will learn about the underlying principles of sensory analysis, the human senses, panel screening and training, as well as best-practice product sampling procedures. Accredited by the Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST), the course features a short multiple choice exam at the end of the day.
With practical examples throughout the day, you will:
- Understand the human senses and their limitations
- Gain a better understanding of the different analytical and hedonic tests available
- Learn how to conduct screening tests to determine candidates’ ability to discriminate levels of intensity of a given attribute
