Seamus O’Donohoe has been appointed CEO of the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS). Mr O’Donohoe takes over from Tom O’Callaghan, who is leaving the farm body after just over 12 months at the helm.
Mr O’Donohoe, who is a UCD agricultural science graduate, has worked as ICOS company secretary for several years. The Galway native is viewed within the sector as an ICOS ‘lifer’ who has an excellent grasp of co-op rules and regulations.
Mr O’Donohoe takes over after a period of internal wrangling within the organisation.
