The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD)’s senior supply chain development adviser Elaine Chapman will be starting off the presentations at FPJ’s conference on Northern Ireland’s fresh produce industry in Belfast.
The conference will look at what the industry can learn from Northern Ireland’s established horticultural tradition, how it is evolving and can innovate further, and how businesses can collaborate to combine both tradition and innovation for a more profitable and sustainable future.
Chapman will take on the subject of Improving Mutual Relations, where she will address issues facing Northern Ireland’s horticultural businesses, both amongst themselves and with mainland Great Britain.
Other speakers include Wilson Country’s Lewis Cunningham, Mash Direct’s Tracy Hamilton, the National Farmers’ Union’s chair of horticulture and potato board Sarah Dawson, and QV Foods’ Simon Martin, and other speakers will be announced. With two open debates and an interactive expo, FPJ Conferences – Northern Ireland is not to be missed.
It’s time to focus on the fresh produce industry in Northern Ireland and have your say.
