Sales Assistant (Landscape Centre, Malahide) – Peter O’Brien and Sons

Summary

The Landscape Centre Sales assistant will be responsible for the running of the landscape shop to include processing sales, invoices, purchase order, good inwards and related documentation

Core duties and responsibilities

  • Processing direct and phone sales
  • Operating the sales and purchasing system
  • Processing and reconciling invoices and purchase orders
  • Assembling orders
  • Stock control – recording goods in and out
  • Organising and monitoring staff PPE
  • Assisting the sales and logistics manager with various duties

The ideal candidate 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in retail sales within a construction, landscape or hardware environment. They will be familiar with terminology and have experience operating computers in a sales environment. They will be highly motivated, be able to work under their own initiative and be interested in pursuing a long-term career.

Required skills and competencies 

Relevant experience, verifiable references, driving licence, knowledge and experience of relevant computer applications, Safe Pass, Manual Handling 

Desirable skills and competencies 

Proven track record of having worked in an environment of similar nature and scale. Fork lift and teleporter licence 

Working hours

Monday-Friday 7.30 am-4.30 pm (variable)
