Teagasc Forestry very much looks forward to engaging with attendees at the upcoming ‘Let’s Talk Trees’ series and providing insights and decision supports on forestry and new planting options. Tom Houlihan tells us more.
The ‘Let’s Talk Trees’ series organised in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine, kicks off next Tuesday, October 21 at the Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway with a second event on Thursday October 23 at the Brehon Hotel, Killarney. Two further events will take place in Navan and Kilkenny in early November.
These collaborative Let’s Talk Trees events will be hosted by Minister of State for Forestry, Michael Healy-Rae T.D., and will provide an excellent forum to explore how forestry can become a valuable part of a modern, resilient farm business. Each event will commence at 7 pm and will open with two short presentations followed by a conversation between Minister Michael Healy-Rae and a forest owner, discussing their specific forestry journey. There will also be valuable opportunity for you to talk to professional forestry staff on a confidential, one-to-one basis about your interest in forestry. These events are FREE and open to all.
