It’s hard for Mark O’Loughlin, owner of the Naas located Sanctuary Synthetics business, to stop beaming. He has just been awarded the SME of the Year Award (for businesses with 6-20 employees) at the annual Kildare Chamber Business Awards 2017, on Friday, 17th November.

County Kildare Chamber Business Awards 2017 are county-wide awards recognising the entrepreneurialism, innovation, diversity and talent of businesses across all sectors. 110 applications were received with finalists selected in each category.

“This is a fitting way to end an incredible year for us at Sanctuary Synthetics. Since its inception, the business has been rewarding but highly challenging. I have a really great team in place and together this year we opened GRASSLAND in my own hometown of Naas, that has been a massive personal achievement. I thank Kildare Chamber for recognising our efforts and determination and can only ask they watch this space for more from us to come!” Mark O’Loughlin said, director of Sanctuary Synthetics.

This has been a busy year for Mark and his Sanctuary Synthetics team, they have recently opened their new interactive showrooms GRASSLAND in Naas, Co Kildare with the aim to reflect the versatility of the artificial grass in a fun and engaging way, making the trip for visitors a memorable and informative experience.

The first of its kind in Ireland, the GRASSLAND innovative outlet has replicating pieces from their Bloom winning gardens, the Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland and the Secret Lives of Pets alongside many smaller interactive pieces.

Mark also signed Lucy Kennedy, who recently installed the grass in her own home, as a brand ambassador for the company as she has seen first-hand the positive change artificial grasses can make to home life.

Alongside this Mark has been an increase of installation of synthetic grasses across the sectors of over 40% over the past 18 months.
