The National Biodiversity Data Centre has released its latest round of training and identification workshops.
The delivery of an annual workshop programme is a crucial part of the National Biodiversity Data Centre’s role, that aims to support the recording and citizen science network in Ireland, building on and improving Ireland’s recording base. The first half of the year has flown by and was immensely successful in terms of attracting interested participants to take part in training workshops around the country.
The Spring Summer 2019 Workshop Programme is still ongoing with 4 more workshops left to take place. Nevertheless, some 262 registrations have been documented out of a total of 280 available places across the entire programme to date. With over 90% of places filled the demand is most certainly there for the type of training that is currently being offered by the National Biodiversity Data Centre – it is a real positive, that more are more people seem keen to engage with biodiversity, learn more about it and to track its occurrence and distribution in Ireland.
In 2019’s Summer Autumn workshop programme, we are delighted to be able to partner up with several organisations and recognised experts from the field of ecology and biological recording to bring you 15 workshops to choose from.

Booking a place at a workshop
Places are limited so advance booking and payment is essential. To book a spot on one or more of our workshops, visit the events section of our website: http://www.biodiversityireland.ie/events/. Please note, you will need your bank card during the booking process to complete registration for any of our workshops.
Booking fees per person range from €20.00 for students, to €30.00 for standard attendees. Our professional workshops fee is €50.00.
