The Chartered Institute of Horticulture is keen to recognise and promote the outstanding work and inspiration within our student community. We invite students from colleges, universities and teaching organisations across the UK and Ireland to create a poster for display at our next conference on 4th November 2026.
We encourage students at all levels from each participating institution to collaborate on a single poster that showcases the quality, creativity, and ambition of those pursuing horticultural education and preparing for careers in the sector. Posters will be judged by the conference delegates on the day.
The purpose of this initiative is to shift the narrative from that of a declining sector to one that is vibrant, forward-looking, and full of potential. We want to highlight the exceptional talent emerging from our institutions—graduates who are ready to make a meaningful impact on the environment, society, and the economy. Through this showcase, we hope to inspire both the current and next generation of horticulturists.
Posters should be A1 in size, either portrait or landscape. The deadline for completion is 23rd October 2026, with posters to be sent to The Royal Botanic Garden, Kew, London to arrive by Friday 30th October. Delivery contact details will be sent closer to the time. We would also be delighted to hear from institutions planning to take part, so please get in contact once you have decided to participate.
